Marianne attended a 4 year intensive Chinese Medical Program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of New York and Missouri. Her rigorous training included: Western disease diagnosis, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. She treated over 300 patients at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine’s clinic in New York and San Diego. She has experience with certain populations due to her clinical experienced at Rady’s Children Hospital in the Oncology Unit, the Senior’s Clinic in Downtown San Diego and the Pacific Beach Homeless Shelter. She gained experience at the Yonker’s Rehabilitation Hospital for recovering drug and alcohol addicts as well as the Chinese Herbal pharmacy in Chinatown, New York. She is also trained in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture RenewalTM and completed a clinical shift treating patients with the facial protocol.
She also attended Spa Luna, a holistic esthetics program in Maui, Hawaii. She has training and experience in facial techniques such as lymphatic drainage, Asian pressure point massage, micro-dermabrasion, light therapy and micro-current therapy. She uses an organic skin care line and believes in a gentle, comprehensive approach when treating the skin. She is a licensed esthetician in New York and Missouri.
The practice of Chinese Medicine incorporates several modalities that are uniquely chosen for your specific needs to re-balance and harmonize the body. These modalities include: Acupuncture, Herbal, adjunctive, massage, and nutritional therapies.
Esthetics
Each facial consists of using organic products with gentle massage to stimulate circulation and detoxification in order to achieve your specific skin care needs. The facial specific to your needs includes: cleansing, exfoliating, massage, extractions, masks and serums specific to your corrective and preventative measures, and moisturizing. Light therapy and other technologies are optional.
